The London Landmarks Half Marathon (LLHM) is committed to being an inclusive and welcoming event. Please read the information below to find out more about taking part in the LLHM if you have a disability or a medical condition meaning you need support on race day:
WHEELCHAIR PARTICIPANTS
We're pleased to welcome a limited number of wheelchair participants to LLHM 2027.
Before registering, please read the information below:
Wheelchair participants may take part using a rigid manual day chair or an adapted wheelchair buggy only.
Handcycles, racing wheelchairs and motorised wheelchairs are not permitted.
We welcome both assisted and unassisted wheelchair participants. Assisted participants are those who are pushed along the route whereas non assisted participants self-propel.
We strongly recommend that both assisted and unassisted wheelchair participants are accompanied by a support runner. Support runners must be registered for the event and agree to the event terms and conditions.
Both assisted participants and support runners must be 17 or over on race day.
For health and safety reasons, wheelchair participants will be assigned a start wave based on whether they are assisted or unassisted. Start waves cannot be changed.
We may need to limit the number of wheelchair participants taking part. Any decisions will be based on event safety requirements.
Wheelchair participants may be asked to provide additional information and follow specific guidance to help ensure a safe event for everyone.
Please note all wheelchair participants must supply their own wheelchair.
BLIND OR VISUALLY IMPAIRED PARTICIPANTS
We welcome blind and visually impaired participants (partially sighted) who in accordance with our terms and conditions must be accompanied by a guide runner. We strongly advise that such participants and their guides are appropriately identified by wearing a hi vis guide runner bib, and they must be linked together in a safe way.
PARTICIPANTS WHO NEED ASSISTANCE
We are also able to provide support runners for participants with other disabilities or medical conditions, please follow the support runner guidelines below.
SUPPORT AND GUIDE RUNNER PLACES
If you are taking part in LLHM 2027 and have arranged your own runner to support you, please contact our team as soon as possible as these places are allocated on a first come first served basis.
If you need matching with a support runner, The Richard Whitehead Foundation Supported Runners Project in partnership with Nissan can pair you with someone for event day. To be matched with a support or guide runner please register your interest with the Richard Whitehead Foundation and they will respond to you in 10 working days and will contact us to let us know about your request. If at a later stage you are unable to take part in LLHM 2027, the place for your support or guide runner will also be withdrawn.
All support/guide runners need to be registered and confirmed by 12pm on 15 January 2027.
