Public places in the inaugural London Landmarks Half Marathon sold out within minutes.

Some 70,000 people competed for the 5,000 public entry spaces in the first ever LLHM when registration went live on April 20th 2018.

The charity Tommy’s, which is behind the road race on March 25 next year, said places were still available through the other groups involved.

The 13-mile race aims to raise £4 million, split between Tommy’s, which funds research to prevent miscarriages and stillbirths, and more than 50 other charities including Cancer Research UK and Mind.

A total of 10,000 runners will start at Pall Mall and finish by Downing Street, getting views of landmarks such as  Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, Nelson’s Column, the Tower of London and the Shard.
