Wonder at the world of wordsmithery (with help from our friends at Dr Johnson's House) as the life and work of Dr Johnson, creator of the English dictionary is celebrated!

Fetter Lane/Fleet Street - Mile 5.1

Postal Past Celebration

Are you ready to pass some fantastic heritage postal vans? The Post Office Vehicle Owners Club and the Postal Museum will reveal the fascinating stories behind London's postal history whilst the Royal Mail Choir entertain.

Angel Street - Mile 6.3

Bow Bells

The Bow Bells of nursery rhyme fame will ring again to celebrate the event and showcase St Mary-Le-Bow Church. This really is a spine-tingling moment on route!

New for 2020: Don't miss your chance to ring our pop-up bell on route! We are delighted that Moore Kingston Smith will be donating £5 per runner for the first 1,000 runners who ring the bell.

Roman Reception

Gladiator fighting, centurion drilling and plenty of fun celebrating Londinium life in Roman times will be had at our Roman Reception! This is your chance to high-five a gladiator...

Mayflower 400

Commemorating the 400th anniversary of the pioneering Mayflower voyage from Plymouth to America. Don't miss our Sailor Salute and our All American street party as you run by!

Lower Thames Street - Mile 10.2

Suffragist Pageant

Look out for our Suffragists on the route who will be campaigning for Votes for Women and cheering on runners. We will also be honouring inspiring female university students and professors from 1920, as we celebrate equality in education. 

Embankment - Mile 12.5

Historic Finish

Our celebratory Historic Finish will bring some of London’s famous historic characters and present day iconic residents (such as The Pearlies and The Chelsea Pensioners) together to hand out medals to runners. Who will present you with your medal?
