When is the London Landmarks Half Marathon?

The London Landmarks Half Marathon will take place on Sunday 25th March 2018.

What time does the race start?

The first wave will start at 09:30am. The last starters are scheduled to cross the start line at 10:25am.

I was unsuccessful in securing a public place. How can i participate?

Please check out our list of charity partners with places. You will be able to secure a free or a lower priced entry into the event in return for committing to raising a minimum fundraising amount

I have moved house/got married. How do I update my personal details? 

Public place runners should update their details here once entry is open. Charity place runners should contact their chosen charity directly to let them know

Who owns the London Landmarks Half Marathon?

The event is owned by baby charity, Tommy's. Tommy's have launched this event to benefit the charity sector. 

Where is the start line?

The start line will be on Pall Mall but entry in to the start process will be will be from Cockspur Street. Bag Drop is located in Waterloo Place.

Where is the finish line?

The finish line will be on Whitehall, very close to the junction with Downing Street.

Are there any toilets?

Yes. Toilets will be located close to Trafalgar Square. There will also be toilets located at various points on the route and after the finish line.

How do I know if I am entered into the event?

Public place runners will receive an acknowledgement email confirming your entry and payment for your place. Charity place runners will receive an email confirmation from your charity. You will also need to complete a further registration with London Landmarks Half Marathon which will be sent to you by your charity. If you have not received this link, please contact your charity directly. You will receive email updates as race day approaches. Please make sure the details we have for you are correct.

When will race packs be sent out?

Packs will be posted out from approximately 2 weeks before the event. Please ensure that you provide us with the correct address. If you need to update your address details please email our Customer Services team on [email protected] Runners from overseas can collect their race pack from the event help desk the day before the event. If for whatever reason your pack doesn’t arrive please go to the event information desk, where our team will be able to issue you with a new pack.

When do entries close?

Public entry into the London Landmarks Half Marathon has sold out. Charity place entry will close on the 2nd February 2018

Is there a minimum age limit?

Yes, the minimum age limit for this event is 17. 

I want to enter a team, how can I make sure we all get places?

If a team of you would like public places in the London Landmarks Half Marathon you would each need to apply for places individually through one of our charity partners. this is for health & safety reasons as we need to take emergency contact details for every participant.


I have entered the event, but now I can’t do it.  Can I have a refund?

Refunds for public place runners will be available for up to 14 days after you have entered. If you are no longer able to take part after this date, unfortunately we will be unable to give you a refund

Will there be a secure area to store a bag?

Yes. The Bag Drop Area will be in Waterloo Place, so if you plan on leaving a bag please allow extra time as there will be queues (plan for at least 15 mins in this area). Please note WE WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTING OFFICIAL LONDON LANDMARKS HALF MARATHON DRAWSTRING BAGS. These are included in your race pack, which will be sent out as detailed above. We are sorry but other bags including suitcases, backpacks, satchels, briefcases, or sports bags will not be accepted. 

How will my time be recorded?

Your time will be recorded with UHF Chip technology. Your finish time will be texted to you after crossing the finish line and will be available on the London Landmarks Half Marathon website.

What happens if my timing chip doesn’t work or I think my time is wrong?

Please r follow the instructions provided on the results section of the London Landmarks Half Marathon website.

Can I listen to music during the race? 

We strongly discourage the use of any equipment that acts as an impediment to hearing or concentration when competing. This includes, but is not limited to, mobile telephones, personal stereos and MP3 players. We cannot be responsible for accidents resulting from taking part with such equipment.

I run a business along the London Landmarks Half Marathon. Is there any way that I can get involved?

Can I start with my friends or fellow charity runners?

We will split the field in to wave starts departing approximately every five minutes. If you wish to run with friends in the same wave but have been allocated different start times, please drop back to all start together.

Where can spectators get the best views of the runners?

There will be dedicated cheer points along the route which will be supported by some of our official charities. We will release further details on these locations closer to race day.

Is there anywhere to fill up my bottle at the start?

No, please come to the start line with a full bottle if you wish to run with water.

I am spectating, can I bring my dog?

Yes, absolutely but please ensure it is kept on a lead at all time around London for everyone’s safety.

What will I get at the finish line?

You will receive your finisher’s medal and free products from our event partners at the finish line. You will also receive a free technical t-shirt prior to the race.

What happens if I feel that I can’t continue and finish the race?

If you are in need of medical assistance, please find the nearest steward or race official who will be able to radio for medical assistance. If you are exhausted and cannot continue but do not need medical assistance, please try and retire from the race at one of the first aid points or water stations where we will be able to sweep you to the finish line if required. (please be aware that you will need to wait until the final participant as gone past before this can occur). You can also make your own way back to Trafalgar Square or can head home if you wish to (there is no need to let us know if you have dropped out).”

Can I run in fancy dress?

Yes you can. Please be aware of the cut off times published on the website and listed below to ensure that your fancy dress outfit will not impair your ability to complete the course in this time.

Is there a cut off time?

You will need to finish in 4 hours from the last start wave to ensure you complete the event on closed roads. If you fall behind this time, you will be asked to continue on the pavements so that the roads can be re-opened to traffic.

Is there anywhere to park?

There is no official event car parking, we strongly encourage you to use the many public transport options available across central London. If you are intending to drive, please be aware there are extensive central London road closures which will impact many access routes.

What happens if the event gets cancelled?

In the unlikely scenario that the event is cancelled, we will get in touch with you as soon as practically possible to inform you what the next steps will be.

Can I take part in my wheelchair?

Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate wheelchair athletes in year one but this is something that we are looking to introduce in subsequent years

Can I transfer my running number to a friend?

No, this is not permitted under the terms and conditions of the event. 

Will there be pacers?

Yes, there will be pacers across a variety of average speeds in some of the waves.

How can I meet up with friends/relatives after the race?

There will not be a dedicated meet and greet point for friends and family. We suggest you make arrangements prior to starting as to where you will meet up post-race.
